The performance egg sits between a shortboard and a mid-length without fully committing to either. Versatile enough to handle a range of conditions and forgiving enough to suit a range of abilities, without sacrificing the ability to turn when the wave allows.

- Single, twin or 2+1. Single gives a drawn-out, flowing feel. Twin adds looseness. 2+1 splits the difference: the side bites add hold and drive while keeping some of the single fin's glide.
- Construction
- PU, EPS or agave blank, glassed with high bio-content epoxy resin.
Outline
Fuller nose than a shortboard, with a rounded outline through the mid-section tapering to a round tail. The curves are smooth and continuous, encouraging flowing, connected surfing.
Rocker
Moderate entry rocker with a moderate tail rocker to handle steeper faces.
Bottom contours
Single concave through the entry transitioning to a double through the middle of the board, with a touch of vee through the tail. The vee softens the exit and adds release, making the tail feel more forgiving and easier to go rail to rail.
Rails and tail
Fuller nose with a rounded outline tapering to a round tail.

Versatility across conditions, surfers stepping away from a shortboard for the first time, and intermediate to advanced surfers who want something that works in two-foot slop and head-high walls alike.
